Creative Commons day at the cafe (May 2005)

Lawrence Lessig and Heather Ford of Creative Commons visited the cafe a few days before the launch of Creative Commons South Africa.

It was a great day - we discussed a lot of topics around open content, possible use of the Freedom Toaster and ccMixter in South Africa.

The launch of ccSA was a very important day for the OpenCafe since our first ArtMarketOnline artist's book was exhibited during the event - Netanya was one of the first artists in South Africa to publish under a Creative Commons license.
